Aqiqah related

Question

Assalamoalaykum, Alhamdolillah we are expecting our first child in few weeks and since we live in US our parents will perform aqiqah on our behalf in India, so that they can distribute the meat in our relatives and poors. Since we are expecting a boy our parents wants to do sacrifice of each animal in two different cities (one city is actually they live in and the other is their native place). My question is, is it permissible to sacrifice two animals in different places on different days, or it has to be done on same day at same place?

May Allah Taa’la bless you with pious children. Ameen.

It is preferable to perform A’qeeqah on the seventh day upon the birth of the child. The two animals may be slaughtered on the seventh day and the meat may be distributed on different days and different places.

عقیقہ کے تمام اعمال اسی جگہ ادا کرنا بہتر اور افضل ہیں جہاں بچہ موجود ہو لیکن اگر دو جدا جدا جگہوں پر ایک ایک بکرا بکری ذبح کر دی جاۓ تو اس سے بھی عقیقہ کی فضیلت حاصل ہو جاۓ گی-
