Title

Names of Allah?

Question

Are MAJEED, QADEER, and QAREEB name of Allah SWT?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Al-Majeed  means The All-Glorious, The All-Majestic

Al-Qadir  meansThe All-Able, The All-Capable.

Al-Qareeb means  the Close.

The three qualities of Allah mentioned above are referenced in the Quran.

Allah says:

They said:

Do you wonder at the command of Allah. The Mercies of Allah and His Blessings are upon you, Oh people of the household (of Ibrahim). Verily He is Praiseworthy, Glorious.[1](Al-Majeed)

Then is not the One who created the heavens and the earth able (Al-Qadir) to create the like of them again? Oh yes indeed for He is the All-Creating,  the All-Knowing.[2]

Now if My servants ask you regarding Me, then indeed I am near (Al-Qareeb). I answer the call of the caller when he calls upon me.[3]

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
