Title

How do I give Fidya for Namaz?

Question

I want to know about Fidya for Namaj. If a person missed several years of namaj and do off-on ( do 3 wakt or do some days and don't in some days)namj, then do tawbah and starts marshallah 5 waqk namaj with witr namaj. How he will do his fidya on missed namaj. Tell me please in details. Jazakallah.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Sister in Islam,

It is not permissible for one to offer Fidya as compensation for one’s missed Salaah’s.[1] Conduct a rough estimation of the amount of Salaah’s you think you have missed and then start performing them gradually. Also make lots of Istighfaar for the missed Salaah’s. Never miss your Salaah again in the future.
