Title

Can one perform Hajj with one's uncle?

Question

Can we perform Hajj with my Unty(Fathers Sister) and uncle(untys

husband) as i have no possibility to perform Hajj with my husband, as

he is very busy with his ex wife(divorced) and no intention to take me

there. But my heart always cry to perform Hajj.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Sister in Islam,

Our understanding of the term “Aunt’s husband” is “your paternal aunt’s husband”.

Your paternal uncle is not classified as your Mahram, therefore, it is not permissible for one to perform Hajj with one’s paternal uncle.

We advise one to seek for a suitable Mahram to accompany one for Hajj.

Your sincere intentions to perform Hajj are a very good sign.

May Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) accept your sincere intentions and may He take you to the Mubarak places of Makkah Mukarramah and Madeenah Munawwarah. Aameen.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
