Asalam u Alikum, I am a Network & Security Engineer in an IT Security Company. I mostly deal in designing and implementing security solutions for various organizations. Answer

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

You are a Network and Security Engineer in an IT company and your job profile is to design and implement security solutions for commercial banks, insurance companies, etc. A Network Engineer is involved in the design and maintenance of both the hardware and software necessary for a computer network. They are high level technical analysts with a specialty in Local Area Networks (LANs) or Wide Area Networks (WANs).[1]

Since the job profile in reference is unrelated to interest, therefore such a job profile is Shari’ah Compliant.
