What is the name of the father of Maryam (Radi allahu anha)?

Question

What was the name of the Father of Hazrat Maryam(Mother of Hazrat Eesa A.S)?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

As-salaamu `alaykum wa-ramatullahi wa-barakatuh.

Allah Ta`ala says in the Qur`an;

{وَمَرْيَمَ ابْنَتَ عِمْرَانَ} [التحريم: 12]

“Maryam the daughter of Imraan”.

The name of the father of Maryam (Radi allahu anha) is Imraan.[i]

And Allah Ta`ala Knows Best.
