Title

Is drinking 2 to 3 drops of milk makes your auntie your foster mother?

Question

Is drinking 2 to 3 drops of milk makes your auntie your foster mother?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu `alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

According to Imam Abu Hanifah (Rahimahullah Ta’Ala) if an infant takes any amount of milk of a woman other than his mother, that woman will become his foster mother.

In the enquired case the aunty will become the child’s foster mother. Consequently all the children of the aunty will become foster brothers and sisters of this child. Foster brothers and sisters are in the same ruling as blood brothers and sisters. Marriage with them is prohibited.[1] &[2]

And Allah knows best.
