Question

As Salaamu Alaikum. Few people make Niyat that they will perform Salat-Us-Shukr if their wish is full-filled. Is it correct to make such Niyat beforehand? What if after making Niyat, they are not able to perform the Salat? Will it be a Sin as we are breaking a promise to Allah or is it forgiveable since Salat-Us-Shukr is Nawafil?
