Question

Iam married since five years and my wife has a son from previous marriage. I would like to know what rights i have over this boy as he is very intelligent and good . I work in saudi arabia my wife came many times and went away for deliver the children . The boy usually stay with her aunt when my wife is in saudi arabia . Now the aunt doesnot want to keep hiim as their children are growing. i cannot live without my wife andshe has responsibilty to care his son as she loves him and didnot marry second only me as she trust me . So what i should do in this case. I dont want to go against huqooq.

Assalāmu ῾alaykum wa Rahmatullāhi Wabarakātuh

 

Since you are the guardian of the boy in reference, you should do that which is in the best interest of the child. If it is possible, establish a home where your wife and her child can live with you in Saudi Arabia. In this way, she will be at ease and it will increase her trust in you.
