Assalāmu ῾alaykum wa Rahmatullāhi Wabarakātuh

It is permissible to eat after having sexual intercourse (for males and females) without making Ghusl on condition that the hands and mouth is washed, otherwise it will be Makrūh.

There is also no harm for ones wife to cook or serve the food in the states of janābah (i.e. without having made ghusl); in this case she will be as a Hāidha (one having monthly menses).
