Title

I am a sister who wanted to ask that I have a condition called Alopecia Areata patches of bald hair and I wanted to ask if I can put hair extensions or false hair. Or any other kind of hair can you please let me know.

I am a sister who wanted to ask that I have a condition called Alopecia Areata patches of bald hair and I wanted to ask if I can put hair extensions or false hair. Or any other kind of hair can you please let me know.

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Extensions of Synthetic hair and Animal hair besides pig hair is permissible.

1. Wigs should not be worn for the purpose of deception and exposing ones beauty, rather one should observe hijaab at all times.
2. Wigs made from Human hair are Haraam.

ووصل الشعر بشعر الآدمي حرام سواء كان شعرها أو شعر غيرها كذا في الاختيار شرح المختار ولا بأس للمرأة أن تجعل في قرونها وذوائبها شيئا من الوبر كذا في فتاوى قاضي خان
