Question

I am a sunni hanafi. I want to ask whether the Ahle Hadith will be considered muslims, as they do not pay respect to the Prophet (S.A.W.S) and aulia allah.. Moreover they consider ahle sunnat as innovators and wrong in belief. In addition to this, they misuse the term taqleed and say that it is shirk to follow any imam. So, what is the fatwa regarding them? And there are some ahadeeth indicating that a horn of devil will rise from najd.

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

If a persons aqidah (beliefs) are in conformity with the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah, he will be considered a Muslim. If the beliefs of the Ahl Hadith conform to the Ahlus Sunnah they, too would be considered Muslims.

It is of utmost importance to respect all the messengers and friends of Allah Ta’ala. If a person does not pay respect to any messenger, he is in extremely great danger. However, what do you mean by “they do not pay respect”?

It is wajib to make Taqleed. If a person does not make taqleed, he will not be considered to be out of the fold of Islam.

The narrations regarding the horn of the devil rising from Najd are general and open for interpretation.

And Allah knows best
