Question

This Hadith was repeated at several Jummah Khutbahs by the Imam that only 1 out of every 1000 people will make it to Jannah and the majority of people are going to be from the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).  Could you please confirm this Hadith and elaborate on the meaning.  Whenever I think about it, I feel that I only stand a very small chance of making into Jannah.
