Question

Salam.

I have committed much sin, though I won't go into detail as to what it was. I am feel extremely guilty and I know that I deserve it fully. But I was wondering if there was some du'a I could read to ease my pain and to add some comfort. Also is there any particular surah or du'a that will make me feel closer to god. I read quran and du'as daily but I don't feel connected anymore. I hate myself for the things I've done. and I want that feeling to go away.
