Question

Assalaam u Alaikum,

I have named my baby boy " Omeir,  عمير ". Could you please let me know if the name " Omeir " is good and what is its meaning?  I was told, it comes from " Omer  " and it means "Small life".

If this name is not good, please suggest me some names, my baby is premature and I want to give him a good name which means "good health/long life " etc.
