Question

I am a college student and happened to see an Aga Khani girl studying at my college. I am a Sunni myself and though I don't consider myself to be the Momin servent of Allah, Masha'Allah I atleast try to strive to be one. So anyway I saw this girl at college and since she is like 3-4 years elder to me she graduated already. Though I have never gone after her or even tried to speak to her, I have heard about her from my other friends and now I feel that I like her. I the beginning I thought that this might just be infatuation but now I think that I actually like her.

Firstly, as a Muslim I don't want to even slightly step out of the way (of Islam) in order to get her and secondly I don't want to loose my self esteem before my parents by telling them that I like this girl. That girl doesn't even know that I like her and off all this that girl is not even a Sunni. Amongst all this confusion the only thing that I think I can do is make Du'a to Allah (swt) that by some miracle I get her with all the above mentioned conditions fulfilled (including the condition that she becomes a pious Sunni).

Though I won't say that I am madly in love with her and dream about her always, I can just say that I like her and feel that she is for me. I request your advice in this matter. Any suggestions, or referrences to some A'ayat or Hadith that can give me patience? Also, generally how is a Momin Muslim expected to act in the above mentioned scenario?

Jazak Allah
