Question

Hello,

I am a muslim girl born and raised..3 years ago i met an american boy who was actually born and raise around all muslim people..he convert ed to islam and practices the religion...we fell inlove and both told eachother we will marry eachotehr and have had relations..we consider ourselve married and i recently told my ,mother she is completely opposed to it..im 23 and he is 24 and we are in love and want to marry more then anything she said she will disown me if i do..i cant see msyelf without him and plus i have already given myself to him and we are basically married without living together my mom doesnt liek him becasue she is ashamed of what poepl will say....but isnt that selfish? i want to marry him regardless what she says i want to live with him...help me please..i pray everynight to allah to make her understand but she is so stubborn..i aslo dont wnat to hurt her i love her but why wont she love me as much as i love her ..if she genuinly loves me then why wont she acccept him as a muslim and let me marry him?
