Is it fardh to make a silent intention before praying? What would one say in his intention?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

The intention for salah from the heart is sufficient. It is not fardh to make verbal intention before performing salah.

And Allah Ta'ala Knows Best
