Title

Does Qadha become compulsory on child who hasnt yet reached puberty?

Question

1. does namaz become qadhaa on a girl who is 10 yrs old but has still not become mature,
2. is it permissible to go to a house for a khatam which is being held just to receive barakah in the house?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

1.

Salat become compulsory upon a person after becoming mature.  A girl becomes mature by either experiencing menstruation, becoming pregnant, or by nocturnal discharge.  If none of these occur before the age of 15, then upon turning 15 she will be considered mature.  If she happens to miss any salat before becoming mature, it will not become qada thus will not have to be made up.

2.

It is permissible to go to a house in which a completion of the Qur’an is taking place to receive blessings in the house.

And Allah knows best
