Question

My Salary is Rs:12000/- due to this my espenses are more then that. I get married in last month and wife has jewllery according to this what ill i do on this eid plz give me solid ans.

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

If your monthly expenses are more than Rs 12,000 and you do not have excess money equivalent to nisaab (minimum zakatable amount) then qurbani is not compulsory upon you.

If the value of your wife’s jewelerry is equivalent or more than the nisaab and she does not have debts, then qurbani will be compulsory on her.

And Allah knows best
