Is it permissable to underline verses in the Quran as an aid to study?

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

It is permissible to underline verses in the quran.One should avoid going over the actual verses.
