Title

Fasting more than 30 days due to Travelling.

Question

The 30th Ramadan OR Ead Ul-Fitr  in Arab Gulf Region is on Friday 12th Oct While in INDIA the 30th Ramadan OR Ead will be on Saturday 13th Oct..  If A person fast for 30days OR attend Ead prayers in Arab Gulf, then travels to India and reaches India on 13th October i.e.30th day of Ramadan Or Ead Ul-Fitr  in India.

1) Is he required to keep Fast on 13th Oct also as per Indian time, while he has already completed 30 Fast on 12th Oct itself. 

2) Is he required to attend Ead prayers in India while has has already attend Ead prayers in Gulf Region on 12th Oct itself.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

1- Yes, the person will have to keep the additional fast with the people of India. (Fatawa Rahimiyyah Vol.7 Pg. 215)

2- On account of his being present in on the morning of Eid, he should perform Eid Salah as well.(See Ahsanul Fatawa Vol.4 Pg.134)
