Can goats with tags in the ear (tag is put in the ear by putting a small hole) for identification be used for Qurbani for Eid ul Adha? Can the same goat be used for Aqeeqa?

Can goats with tags in the ear (tag is put in the ear by putting a small hole) for identification be used for Qurbani for Eid ul Adha? Can the same goat be used for Aqeeqa?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

It is permissible to make qurbani and Aqiqa of such an animal.
