Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

It is undesirable to read duas acquired from Quran in sajdah and ruku’. However, if someone does so, it will not render the salaah invalid.

It is permissible to read duas which are not part of the Quran and do not resemble the usual talking of people, in sajdah and ruku’. These duas should be read only in nafl salaah and those fardh salaah which are read alone. It is not advisable for an Imam to read them whilst conducting fardh salaah.
