Title

Inheritance from my grandfather

Question

I would like your advice how my family should distribute the money that we have received from late grandfather’s property which has been sold few weeks ago. There was no will made out for this property.

My grandfather had threes sons and all late as well as my grandmother, but all threes sons’ wives are still alive. My father passed away before my grandmother. My two uncles passed after my granny.

My oldest uncle has eight children (3 sons and 5 daughters). My father has six children (3 sons and 3 daughters). The youngest uncle has six children (4 sons and 2 daughters).

I hope the information I’ve given is adequate for an answer.

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh.

In order to solve the estate it will be important to clarify the sequence of the deaths. Did your grandfather pass away before your grandmother? Secondly did your uncles pass away before your grandfather?

And Allah knows best
