Title

Can i pray Zuhr Salaah if i missed Jumuah Salah? Is Aqeeqah Sunnah or Wajib?

Question

1) if i miss the Juma prayers due to work,can i say the Zuhur Prayers later.Will this zuhur be considered as qaza?

2) Aqueeqah- is it SUNAT or WAJIB(Hanafi School)

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

1)      At the outset, it is important to understand that it is a major sin to miss the Jummah Salaah without a valid reason. However, in the event of one missing the Jummah, he will make Qadha of Zuhr Salaah.

2)      It is Mustahab (preferable) to offer Aqeeqah (Fataawa Mahmoodiyya Vol.11 Page 453).
