Title

I would like to ask that are we allowed to keep Hamster in house as Pet?

Assalam-o-Alaikum

I would like to ask that are we allowed to keep Hamster in house as Pet?If no then why? and i would like to ask that my jacket has a hood, is that going to count as covering of head during prayer? Please reply as soon as possible

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

1) It is permissible to keep a hamster as a pet.

2) It is permissible to cover the head with the hood of a jacket but to have a separate hat will be better
